INTRODUCING FOR AW19... FUMITO GANRYU

It's a documented fact that some of the most interesting menswear brands of recent years share a common origin: Japan. There's no denying that the attention to detail and sensibility of Japanese culture translates to outstanding creations and visionary designers. Fumito Ganryu is one of them.

The thing with Ganryu is that he's not a newcomer, even if the name may not sound familiar to you at first. In fact, it's possible that some of your favorite Japanese designer pieces had his Midas touch, at least to some extent...

Having cut his teeth as Junya Watanabe's pattern maker, Ganryu learned from one of the best before moving to the spotlight when he was given creative freedom to explore his very own line at Comme des Garçons. Drawing inspiration and know-how from the meticulously disruptive aesthetic of the Japanese label, the designer then ventured into a new challenge in the form of his eponymous label. The recent label, now on its 2nd collection, has received global praise for its clean lines and reinvented staples with unique plays on volume and proportion.

Wrong Weather is proud to announce Fumito Ganryu as one of the new additions to its brand roster for AW19. Don't miss it!
