DROPPING THIS WEEK...RAF SIMONS AW19

Raf Simons is likely one of the most dichotomic personalities in the fashion industry. With a uniquely disruptive vision on menswear, merging classic tailoring and contemporary elements, the Belgian designer has slowly established himself as one of the unavoidable names in fashion. His ability to avoid indifference is perhaps his greatest gift, especially in an overly saturated industry where new labels come to life every single day. Love him or hate him, the truth remains few other brands have been able to achieve such a cult status, with devoted followers eagerly awaiting new creations from their mentor.

His collections continuously explore new shapes and silhouettes, from fitted to oversized, along with strong positions on hyped topics, visible through coded messages and prints on some of his most sought-off garments. With a range of collaborations with the likes of Adidas and Eastpak (also available at Wrong Weather), and having taken on professional challenges at Dior and Calvin Klein, Raf Simons has been constantly challenging fashion's status quo.

For AW19, the designer brings us a collection inspired by David Lynch's movies, where photo prints from some of the most acclaimed scenes featuring Laura Dern made the cut. Dramatically long overcoats create elongated silhouettes, sometimes balanced by prominent shoulders. Patched sweaters and trousers featuring Lynch's photo prints were likely the stars of the show, along with the cryptic messages such as "Burning Down the House" that could be found on some of the pieces.

The first arrivals from Raf Simons AW19 collection are coming to Wrong Weather this week. Keep an eye out for them!
