RAF SIMONS AW21

Raf Simons’ Autumn/Winter 2021 menswear and second womenswear collection was presented in video-format once again, set at C-Mine Genk (Belgium) – not coincidentally the old mining site where Simons studied Industrial Design, and not that far from his childhood home. The press release lists six words that served as the inspiration for this season’s collection: Ataraxia, Equanimity, Dichotomy, Synchronicity, Allegiance and Devotion. Words referencing peace of mind, love, loyalty, but also the seemingly contradictory juxtaposition of sophistication, maturity and luxury with ease, youth and punk elements.
The soundtrack is Kraftwerk only, complementing the retro-futuristic setting.

This collection is an arrow straight through the heart for any fan of the brand: The larger-than-life knits, the extravagant color-blocks, the never-ending layers: This is Raf Simons showcasing what he truly loves above all else.

“The collection is about things I love — things I have always loved, that are always there in every collection”
Raf Simons

The heritage Raf has built over the years has become instantly recognizable by any fashion lover. Like an unwritten signature, Raf Simons' garments are so full of personality and history that they need no logos or big branding.
A collection that settles the status quo of Raf Simons forever.

Raf Simons will arrive soon at Wrong Weather.
