ON - CLOUDAWAY KANAZAWA

The Shinkansen station at Kanazawa, in Japan’s Ishikawa prefecture, is not just a stop. It’s an architectural fusion of old and new. The Tsuzumi (drum) is a gateway to pass through that actually makes you stop. This ability to turn travel into a series of moments inspires the special edition Cloudaway Kanazawa.

The next stop? That's your call.

Upper

Lightweight durable mesh upper made with recycled material.

Speedboard

A tailored Speedboard® turns energy into forwarding motion with every step.

Outsole

Closed midsole to prevent stone catching. 3D rubber tread with recycled content.

Industrial Design

A lightweight mesh upper engineered with recycled materials has been updated with a metallic look for a nod to industrial design and the urban jungles it’s made to explore.

Made to Get Out There

We kept the single-toggle elasticated lacing system from the Cloudaway for a quick fastening. More time to think about where you’re headed.

Mountain-Inspired

The mudguard has been updated with metallic detail for a more industrial aesthetic. The mountain silhouette sidewall adds extra support and protection. And a nod to the shoe’s Swiss-engineered origins.

Celebrating the Journey

We kept the 3D map of the Engadine Valley – home of On – embossed on the sole and Cloud elements. But we took the upper around the world. The colorway is inspired by the wooden structures at Kanazawa station.

About On

On was born in the Swiss alps with one goal: to revolutionize the sensation of running. It’s all based on one radical idea. Soft landings followed by explosive take-offs. Or, as On calls it, running on clouds.

From small beginnings in Zürich, Switzerland, On set out in 2010 with a big ambition: to change the world of running. In the ten years since, On has been embraced into the hearts, and onto the feet, of more than seven million runners in over 50 countries. And there's no sign of slowing down.
