The Wrong Weather Gallery is pleased to announce F/A1, a video art exhibition that marks a new approach toward the genre of fashion film, illuminating fashion in the moving image through provocative concepts and fresh styles of presentation.

Based on the creative credentials of the participating artists, F/A1 presents a selection of new work that introduces a new way of making, expressing and perceiving moving images that deal with the subject of fashion.

About Konstantinos Menelaou

Konstantinos Menelaou is a London based film & art director and curator. He has worked as an art director and producer at large for Diane Pernet’s ASVOFF festival and blog and as a researcher for The White Cube gallery. His creative roles are interconnected and they are defined by his practice as a writer, director, editor, curator and producer. Recent curatorial projects include “ASVOFF ART” at Centre Pompidou, “VOYEUR” at Miami Art Basel and “FASHION SHORTS” at Tribeca Grand Hotel.

The Wrong Weather Gallery tem o prazer de apresentar F/A1, uma exposição de vídeo-arte que junta artistas experimentais com inovadores designers de moda em colaborações criativas,  estabelecendo uma nova abordagem a este género artístico, colocando em evidência a moda através de conceitos provocantes e formas de apresentação inovadoras.
Baseando-se nos créditos criativos dos artistas e designers participantes, a F/A1 pretende incentivar o filme de moda, introduzindo uma nova forma de produzir, exprimir e perceber a vídeo-arte que lida com o sujeito da moda.

Acerca de Konstantinos Menelaou

Konstantinos Menelaou é um director artístico e cinematográfico, bem como comissário de arte, que vive e trabalha em Londres. Tem trabalhado como director artístico e produtor do festival e blog ASVOFF (A Shaded View on Fashion Film), de Diane Pernet, e ainda como investigador da galeria londrina The White Cube. As suas actividades criativas estão intimamente interligadas, sendo influenciadas pela sua prática como escritor, realizador, editor, comissário e produtor. Recentemente, foi comissário de projectos como o ASVOFF ART, patente no Centre Pompidou, Paris, VOYEUR, no Art Basel, Miami, e FASHION SHORTS, no Tribeca Grand Hotel, Nova Iorque.
