JUST HOW YOU MADE ME FEEL
Instalation of Wearable Art by Patrick Church

25th October - 09 November 2013

3 to 7:30 p.m.

Wrong Weather kindly invites you to the opening of next exhibition at our Gallery, JUST HOW YOU MADE ME FEEL, featuring Patrick Church’s exciting new work.

The opening coincides with the presentation of the newest senhor Prudêncio’s AW13 GURI collection.

Patrick Church was born in Oxford in 1991, and moved to London when he was 18. Described in 2012 by Room Gallery as “London’s provocative new artist”, he works primarily as a painter; creating canvases, murals, and more recently wearable art with his distinctive painted leather jackets. Using color and text, and intervening directly on the leather, Patrick Church produces daring, intimate pieces that reveal a unique artistic sensibility. As an artist, he tries and solves problems, creating solutions, and producing something that is an extension of his self, revealing his humiliations, failures and successes in pieces that are simultaneously dark, honest and sexually provocative.

In JUST HOW YOU MADE ME FEEL he will present a series his latest works, explorations on a variety of new media drawing upon his emotions, inner demons and confessions. The Artist will be present for the opening.

SENHOR PRUDÊNCIO
AW13 Presentation

senhor Prudêncio is an exciting new brand, signed by shoe designer João Pedro Filipe. AW13 GURI collection is inspired on the 1980’s Portuguese freedom generation, it’s propensity to kitsch, idolatry of labels, and over-design. The collection borrows its shapes and graphic choices from the iconic motorcycles built in Portugal at the time. The collection explores the link between sporty and formal, creating a neo-sporty look. The choice of materials emphasizes texture through the use of quilted effects and natural leather, giving each piece a bit of that raw aesthetic ambiance of the age’s hi-tech paraphernalia.

The AW13 GURI collection is available at Wrong Weather, please see it
