For this season, Marine Serre's creative vision was deeply inspired by the breathtaking setting of Florence and the majestic Villa di Maiano, a 15th-century estate overlooking the city. The refined charm of this location, reminiscent of "The Godfather," sparked a contemplation of couture and polished Italian elegance within the collection.
While marking her first stand-alone menswear presentation at Pitti Uomo, Serre's signature boldness remains evident. Expect to see men grace the runway in sharply tailored, elongated double-breasted suits and striking airbrushed glossy leather ensembles adorned with the iconic crescent moon motif. Sartorial silhouettes, including vibrant vermillion red suits paired with black shirts, offer a nod to the iconic style of '70s German group Kraftwerk.
The collection culminates in a powerful statement of unity and peace with make-do-and-mend white looks crafted from upcycled household linens and lace, echoing the show's poignant title: "Sempre legati" – Forever bonded.
