Wrong Weather sits down with Nelson Vieira

Wrong Weather sits down with Nelson Vieira to talk about his Manuel Dupont’s collaboration edit just released at Wrong Weather. Nelson Vieira is a Porto-based fashion stylist and art director.
He has worked with several magazines, DIVO, Men`s Health, Vogue Italy Jewellery, REVS, H Magazine, IDOL, Schon and Vice. Additionally he has also created styling concepts for Daniela Barros, Wrong Weather, Ricardo Andrez and Senhor Prudêncio.

How this collaboration came about.
After developing the identity and inaugural campaign line of the brand, I was invited to develop my own line with total freedom, in order to add a new language to the brand.
What were the challenges when creating the collection
The biggest challenge was certainly combine aesthetics and technology of the product requires, as the biggest concern was always comfort. The challenge goes through the balance of an effervescent creative process.

Tell us your inspiration for this collaboration.
I did not have a direct inspiration I drew on factors that identify myself and that I could help to establish a starting point. There was a determining factor, I explore multiple times while stylist, like layering, and feel it visible in the final product.
The collection is completely black, that fact is a very striking feature of my work and as a person.

Are you planning another project with Manuel Dupont.
We are developing the next collection and for now it´s being challenging and fun.
What is the differences and challenges you encounter as a designer versus a stylist
For me it was simple, as I have studied fashion design despite never having worked as a designer. The process was not at all strange to me, the biggest difference is the materialization of a product, since in styling, I only create images and concepts. That was the biggest challenge.
What you would describe your style.
Unpretentious, comfortable and casual.
What is in fashion that you love and Hate.
The most exciting is being able to create images that are transformed into desire, and that arouse sensations, that are one of the fashion industry purposes. It fascinates me that way.
The most negative are preconceived ideas about the area, people who move on it. I consider it a fast area but require a lot of time in research and global knowledge, from yesterday until today.
Watt is you Fashion Dream.
Continue having the opportunity to work in what I love most, Fashion.
