SS26 RUNWAY COLLECTION

For Spring-Summer 2026, Pelagia Kolotouros situates Lacoste within the landmark Hall Eiffel, transforming the 1895 glass-and-iron structure into a site of athletic introspection. The collection explores the locker room as a liminal space—a sanctuary suspended between the public spectacle of the court and the private ritual of the after-match. Through this lens, the brand's DNA is viewed not as a uniform for competition, but as a study of the athlete in repose.

The garments inhabit a deliberate state of unfinished elegance. Sensuality emerges through the unbuttoning of match-worn polos and the loosening of tracksuits, rendered in technical silks and flyaway nylons. Materials reference the utilitarian architecture of the "backstage": transparent organza evoking shower curtains, lustrous toweling fabrics, and reflective leathers that play with the boundaries of voyeurism and privacy.

This season, the iconic crocodile is reimagined through French savoir-faire, appearing as grass-court embroideries and archival motifs from the 1920s. From the Lenglen bag’s racket-grip handles to the "Tennis for Everyone" inscriptions, the collection balances heritage with a raw, contemporary authenticity. It is a transition from the tyranny of perfection to a newfound lightness, where archival blues and oranges meet the sophisticated neutrality of taupe and olive.
