KENZO X VERDY COLLECTION - COMING SOON

KENZO and Artistic Director Nigo are partnering with the artist VERDY, who created custom graphics for the House's Spring/Summer 2024 runway collection, unveiled during the latest Men's Fashion Week in Paris - VERDY's motifs were also presented during the brand's repeat fashion show in Shanghai last July. The collection will be launched at an exclusive KENZO pop-up store on the Champs-Élysées in Paris from December 2nd to December 17th and at 10 Corso Como in Seoul from December 16th to December 26th acting as a symbolic "East Meets West' bridge for the House. A close friend of Nigo's, VERDY is a Japanese graphic artist whose bold, playful designs and vibrant colours frequently explore themes of youth culture, rebellion and nostalgia. His work - with influences ranging from skateboarding, hip-hop and manga - has been described as a fusion of Japanese and Western streetwear, making VERDY the perfect creative addition to the East-meets-West vibe that Nigo has envisioned for the brand. The signature font used by VERDY will be seen emblazoned across a selection of garments for the holiday season, selected from the Spring/Summer 2024 collection designed by Nigo. Revisited by VERDY, spelt-out branding including 'Kenzo', 'KENZO Paris", "18 Rue Vivienne' or '1970' is applied on woven, knit, denim and leather pieces and accessories.
The KENZO X VERDY Collection will be available at Wrong Weather soon.

About KENZO
To prepare for the future, we look to the past. As a new reality sets in at KENZO, Artistic Director Nigo reconnects with the values entrenched in the early beginnings of the Maison: designer fashion created for real life, imbued with the playful urbanity of Kenzo Takada's timeless legacy. A creative exchange, KENZO becomes an evolving dialogue between the pop culture of the founder's heritage and the street culture inherent to Nigo.
Through Nigo's instinct for contemporary design, a new vision takes shape at KENZO: 'real-to-wear, a genuine wardrobe founded in the authentic desires of the post-digital mentality. It is a realistic approach to fashion, which transcends the conventional labels of 'formal", 'casual' or 'street' in favour of the syntheses that make up real wardrobes today.
A series of encounters take place: the everlasting codes of KENZO are considered through an instant lens, the 'Jungle' fashion of its founder is distilled into succinctly covetable items, and a new sense of exclusivity heightens the universal appeal key to the Maison's history. In the encounter between the founder and the heir, the core of KENZO is amplified: unconventional fashion for the future rooted in the permanence of its past.
