Gianpiero, a celebrated pop artist from Naples, Italy, who has created illustrations for Netflix, Levi's, Snoop Dogg, BelAire Rose, and Dolce & Gabbana, was discovered by Justin Bieber on Instagram in 2018. Gianpiero has since brought his artistic talents to Bieber’s Drewhouse, generating over $75 million in revenue across web2 and web3.
Gianpiero’s artistic journey began in his childhood in Italy, where drawing allowed him to escape into a happier reality. His connection to his teddy bear for comfort and happiness is mirrored in the inBetweeners project, reminding us all that we deserve joy and support.
inBetweeners’ custom embroidered garments feature colourful bears and a QR code to claim a virtual version of the piece. The playful aesthetic of these bears is a major draw, bringing a sense of joy and positivity to the brand.
This unique project includes 10,777 NFTs, each with a floor price of 0.45 ETH, combining over 175 hand-drawn attributes with varying rarities. inBetweeners aims to spread positivity, creating a supportive community both in real life and in the metaverse.
Holders of inBetweeners NFTs receive exclusive benefits, including access to a holder-only Discord channel, governance in the community wallet, invites to IRL events, and rights to the underlying IP. Half of the secondary transaction fees go to the community wallet, with owners voting on how to use these funds. Given Justin Bieber’s active involvement, his appearances at events are highly anticipated.
Looking ahead, the inBetweeners team is set to expand, hosting several IRL and metaverse events, launching Web3 commerce initiatives, and organizing an international art tour. Recently, the project topped the NFT gainers list, highlighting its growing popularity and success.
