United Standard "Factory Progresso" AW19

Founded in 2015 by Giorgio di Salvo, United Standard is a Milan based brand that wants to break Italian fashion tradition without losing its essence. Being based in a high-fashion capital such as Milan, the expectations are as high as the tradition, and although in recent years the city has seen many luxury streetwear brands moving in, such as Off-White, the creative core is still around high-end conservative luxury.

One of the biggest inspirations for United Standard is Giorgio’s love for cars. In a city full of fast-motor lovers it is almost strange that fashion and cars don’t associate more often. It should be predictable but juxtaposing the industrial aesthetics of motor vehicles with detail focused garments brings in a fresh perspective to fashion design.

The AW19 collection named “Factory Progresso” counts with illustrious collaborations such as Virgil Abloh and emulates the raver look influenced by utilitarian wear, where metal-head-style tribal flame graphics and technical fabrics find the perfect balance.
